It’s not about the money

Being supportive til the end. The amount of the reward doesn’t indicate the pain and suffering are over. It doesn’t indicate things are better. A lot of lonely nights, days, minutes and hours are still ahead. The award is only an indication that the suffering happened – to him. He’s thanked me for sticking with him through it all. That’s sweet. And I know he’ll reward me with some of his compensation. It’s not about money. It’s always been about the VA recognizing his condition. He thinks things will be grand, prefect now. We’ve a long way to go.
