Part 2

Stepping off the bus at the reception center, I remember being filled with so many different emotions. Fear, exhaustion, anxiety and overall refreshment.  I was so thrilled to be somewhere different – no matter the weeks ahead.  I spent about a week in reception before starting basic training. We got our uniforms, pictures, learned how to put on our uniforms and other basics. That week, was probably the only week during the next 12 in which I got more than 5 hours of sleep per night.  Was I in for a different change of events …. stay tuned and I’ll share day ONE of basic training.
